My name is Margot Wijbrans-Roodbergen (1969). I am a licensed photographer and a member of the  vereniging Beroepsfotografen Nederland. Photographt and multimidea are since januari 2005 my full-time profession as the owner of Dagpauwoog Design and as a professional wedding photographer.

“As an infant I was already fascinated by photo cameras. If I was able to I would pick up my dad's or mom's camera and try to make a picture. When I was eight years old, I got my first camera, a 6x6 camera. It seemed that photography was my destiny. In high school I even worked for a week at a wedding photographer. However, instead I graduated with a BSc in Electrical Engineering and worked for 10 years at Ericsson Telecommunications, first as a maintenance engineer, then as a manager.”

“Photography however stayed important. Next to my day time job I studied at the Fotovakschool and completed the basic and advanced photography education. I photographed the weddings of best friends and family. After my children were born, I decided to follow my heart's desired, completed my studies at the Fotovakschool and graduated as a professional portrait and fashion photographer. This is the ideal education for a wedding photographer.”

“In 2005 I started with my own company as a professional photographer. I am the standard photographer for the local council of Gilze-Rijen and the photo journalist for the local newspaper. I have a studio at my house for portrait photography. I have no shop, as I am purely a photographer and multimedia designer, not a camera salesman.

I like wedding photography because it is a nice mixtures of portraits, fashion photography (the 'formals') and photojournalism. Each couple is different and has their own preferences for their wedding. That makes it so nice to do for me: everytime it is good to be the wedding photographer delivering on your desires!”
